In your respected opinion, what are the best books of this century? This question is limited to teen fiction only. And please, I’m begging you… refrain from using any books from the Twilight saga. I already know how fabulous they are. A good start would be something like Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli. Your responses are appreciated greatly.

We love Vanity Fair — I mean, the magazine publishes some of the best articles and photospreads out there. And still the Twilight Saga cast coverage from the past remains a favorite for many fans. Most recently, VF shot a cast photo for The Hunger Games — which just so happens to be another popular book turned movie series, and you can’t help but notice that these two cast pics look almost identical. Both feature the main players outside and getting close — laughing and joking — in simple, neutral fashions. That being said, these are two very different books, and when THG comes out in March, we’re pretty sure that they’ll prove to be two different movie series. In fact, Jennifer Lawrence reportedly said to Vanity Fair ‘Hunger Games is not Twilight. And while I hear the comparisons, it’s really premature to say that it will be the same phenomenon.’ So specifically for all of you fans of The Hunger Games, do you think the series will wind up with the same devoted fanbase as The Twilight Saga… even if it’s a different story? And why do you think that Vanity Fair opted for such a similar cast photospread? I’m your host Joslyn Davis with a story that is all about the upcoming film’s soundtrack. The musical release will accompany the movie, and its seems as though things are in the early planning stages right now. The Hollywood Reporter states that Universal Republic will release the soundtrack, and according to the head of music at Lionsgate, “the list of artists that could participate, and the opportunities for them to write and record, are really unlimited.” With so many comparisons between the Hunger Games and the Twilight Saga starting to emerge, we’re expecting a soundtrack that’s on par with what we’ve gotten in all of the vampire films. Plus, keep in mind that music legend Lenny Kravitz will be playing a big role in this film and we’re thinking this could be the perfect opportunity for him to lend his musical talents to the project. Or there’s always Miley Cyrus, who’s dating one of the film’s stars – we’d love to hear her on the Hunger Games Soundtrack as well. So what do you guys think?
